Dear Patients,

We have been advised by NHS England that due to a national shortage of blood tubes, we are unable to carry out any routine blood tests for the time being. If you already have a booked appointment for a blood test after the 30th August, this may be cancelled by us, unless it is considered urgent. PLEASE DO NOT TELEPHONE THE SURGERY REGARDING THIS. We will update you when we know more, but it is likely to be several weeks before we can resume a normal service.

COVID 19 cases amongst our patients were higher in July than any other month to date.

Fortunately symptoms in patients who are vaccinated are in general less severe.  This means that the majority of patients do not need hospital treatment, but are treated by our Practice Team.

Please be mindful of this if you are booking any routine appointment

 It is fantastic that lockdown measures are easing and we are all more able to meet up with friends and family. However, the safety of you, our patients, is still our priority and we need to continue to take more precautions than shops, pubs, schools etc. due to some patients being more vulnerable than others.

As we are still in the Covid pandemic, the NHS recommends that we triage or phone back every patient who wants advice from a nurse, doctor or other healthcare professional.

 Our surgery is having to work a bit differently to how it used to, and the changes you can expect are

  • The doors at the Seymour Road entrance are open for pre booked appointments or for the collection /drop off of samples only.
  • The doors at the Prospect Place entrance remain closed.
  • The reception desk (located at the Seymour Road entrance) is not yet open to book appointments or deal with enquiries. If you need an appointment, have a general enquiry, need medical advice or treatment; please phone us first on 01225 435757or visit our website for more information.

 If you feel you need to attend the surgery in person we are keen, as we are sure you are too, to avoid transmission of infection and so to ensure social distancing we are closely monitoring how many patients are in our building including sitting in the waiting room. Don’t forget your mask!

For COVID-19 vaccinations please contact the National Booking Service to make an appointment - not your GP practice. 

All local sites are now available through the National Booking Service online or by calling 119 and it's the best way to get an appointment for both 1st and 2nd doses if you don’t have an appointment already.  Please don't hesitate, when it's your turn to be vaccinated please do so as soon as possible.  The NHS appreciates that at times the system can be busy and but be assured we will make sure everyone is offered the opportunity to be immunised so please keep trying.  New clinics are being set up all the time at various locations including some community pharmacies so your patience is appreciated.  

CAUTION : Please be aware that there appear to be some ‘scam’ phone calls doing the rounds.  The caller identifies themselves to be from Trowbridge Health Centre and then proceeds to ask for payment before medication can be delivered. We will never contact patients asking for payment details.  If you receive such calls we advise that you  report them to the police.

The Practice has a large car park for patient use with level access and designated areas exist for disabled drivers.

Please note there is now a maximum Parking time limit of 90 minutes in our car park - If you think you will be parked for longer please enter you car registration details on the parking screen located in reception.
